Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; grocery/food service experience preferred.
• Customer service oriented with ability to maintain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines in a grocery setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of deli/bakery cases and work areas for safety.
• Stocks cases, presents products, faces shelves, and ensures pricing accuracy.
• Inspects rotation of deli/bakery products and discards outdated items.
• Assists customers with purchases, information and product selection.
• Receives, inspects, and logs shipments for temperature and quality.
• Monitors promotional materials and signage for accuracy.
• Operates knives, scales, wrappers, and related equipment safely.
• Prepares deli/bakery items with correct ingredients and cooking times.
• Weighs and labels products accurately for sale.
• Supports pre-inventory and back stock organization.
• Maintains product knowledge and department cleanliness.
• Performs other duties as required.
