Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Deli/Bakery/Bistro Associate in the United States to deliver outstanding customer service, ensure a safe, clean department, and assist the department manager in achieving sales goals. You will answer customer questions, slice meats and cheeses to order, and prepare deli items per requests.

Qualifications

Ability to handle stressful situations.
Effective communication skills.
Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

Assist the department manager to meet sales and profit goals.
Help customers by answering questions and offering product suggestions.
Slice deli meats and cheeses to customers' requests using proper deli equipment.
Prepare deli/bakery/bistro items per customer orders using proper bakery equipment.
Maintain food safety and proper temperatures.
Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
Provide excellent customer service and a welcoming environment.
Report discrepancies to the department manager.
Adhere to safety procedures and company guidelines.
