Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly service, share product knowledge, and keep store displays fresh across departments.

You will stock, rotate, and merchandise items, follow safety procedures, and use store technology to complete tasks accurately. Previous retail or food service experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or food service is helpful but not required.
• Ability to learn and operate store technology.
• Strong team orientation and customer-first mindset.
• Willingness to be physically active and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service with product knowledge and a friendly attitude.
• Maintain fresh, clean, and organized displays in Fresh departments.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products according to standards.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Use technology to complete tasks accurately.
• Support multiple departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce, and Grocery.
