Responsibilities include:

• Offering product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Informing customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Providing fresh products ordered by customers with correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommending bakery or deli items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Using bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Preparing foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measuring and preparing ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients and products.
• Checking product quality and freshness, reviewing 'sell by' dates, and taking necessary actions.
• Properly using kitchen equipment like stoves, scales, fryers, steamers, etc.
• Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
• Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
• Knowing the store layout and locating products for customers.
• Staying current with ads and promotions.
• Maintaining knowledge of products and responding to customer inquiries with suggestions.
• Monitoring inventory and stock conditions, noting discrepancies.
• Maintaining proper temperatures in cases and coolers with logs.
• Promoting trust and respect among colleagues.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforcing safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
