Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services is seeking a part-time Deli Bakery Associate at a US Military Commissary location. The role emphasizes cake decorating experience, friendly customer service, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

You will decorate cakes, stock displays, maintain sanitation, and support deli and bakery tasks as needed, with opportunities for growth and flexible scheduling around a 7:00 pm close time.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Experience in retail cake decorating
• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed
• Effective and friendly communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
• Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time
• Team player

Responsibilities

• Decorate a cake in 15-20 minutes start to finish.
• Fill production cases and/or stock the floor or display tables with baked goods.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer service, teamwork with positive communication, and assist other team members as needed.
• Ensure proper sanitation of the department, equipment, and proper food handling/preparation.
• Demonstrate the ability to work in fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
