Job summary

Kroger Farmington is hiring a deli/bakery associate to create outstanding customer experiences through friendly service and accurate food preparation. You will assist the department manager in meeting sales goals while maintaining a clean, safe environment and following all food safety regulations.

You will slice deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications, prepare bakery items, stock and label merchandise, and respond to questions about products.

Qualifications

• Handles stressful situations effectively.
• Communicates effectively with customers and teammates.
• Has basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals.
• Provide exceptional customer service and answer questions about products.
• Prepare deli/bakery/bistro items per customer requests.
• Slice deli meats and cheeses to customers' requests using proper equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow safety regulations.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Monitor quality and freshness of products and check sell-by dates.
• Operate deli equipment (slicers, ovens, scales) per guidelines.
