Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate in Pearl City, Hawaii, to decorate cakes and support daily bakery and deli tasks. You will fill cases, stage baked goods, and help maintain a welcoming, efficient customer experience in a busy commissary setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience in retail cake decorating.
• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Decorate a cake in 15-20 minutes start to finish.
• Fill production cases and/or stock the floor or display tables with baked goods.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer service, teamwork with positive communication, and assist other team members as needed.
• Ensure proper sanitation of the department, equipment, and proper food handling/preparation.
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
