Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services, Inc. is hiring a Deli Bakery Associate with cake decorating experience to join our team at one of our US Military Commissary locations. You will decorate cakes quickly, restock and maintain appealing displays, and support a clean, safe kitchen and bakery area.

The role emphasizes teamwork, enthusiastic customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following proper food handling guidelines and sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience in retail cake decorating.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.
• Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time.

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes in 15–20 minutes start to finish.
• Fill production cases and stock display tables with baked goods.
• Maintain enthusiastic customer service and teamwork with positive communication.
• Ensure proper sanitation of the department, equipment and food handling.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
