Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service in our Fresh departments. You will help customers, stock and merch products, and ensure displays are inviting and accurate.

This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficient use of in-store technology. You will join a fast-paced environment at our Michigan stores, with opportunities for growth and exposure to multiple departments including Meat, Produce, Bakery, Deli, and Grocery.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments. You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
