Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in deli/food service/retail is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation; Food handler’s certification preferable.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with deli selections.
• Slice, weigh, and package deli meats, cheeses, and prepared foods; prepare sandwiches and salads.
• Ensure items are labeled with prices and ingredients; maintain display appeal.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines; keep equipment and counters clean.
• Monitor inventory and assist with restocking deli cases and displays.
• Operate deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, and scales; report malfunctions.
• Collaborate with store staff and train new deli associates; support other departments during peak hours.
• Adhere to store policies, safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
