Job Description:

Position Summary: This role involves working independently to prepare, fry, package, display, and stock deli products, contributing to the store’s financial interests. The role also requires meeting company guidelines for guest experience, safety, and food safety.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

1. Prepare and produce deli products according to the production planner.
2. Package and label deli products per program plan.
3. Merchandise deli products according to flight plans and merchandising expectations.
4. Stock the backroom with deli products, rotating and dating cases/buckets.
5. Collaborate with other departments and stores to support growth in SpartanNash retail stores.
6. Notify the Deli Manager when products and supplies need to be ordered.
7. Understand basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
8. Communicate tasks, recipes, weights, measures, and cleaning steps to other associates.
9. Follow all PPE and safety guidelines.
10. Adhere to all food safety and cleaning standards.
11. Follow guest experience guidelines.
12. Perform tasks in other departments as needed based on customer experience requirements.
13. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands include lifting/moving up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, standing and walking for extended periods, and bending, stooping, twisting, and turning frequently. The environment may vary in temperature and include outside weather conditions. Noise levels are typically low to moderate. Travel requirements vary.
