Job summary

SpartanNash in Logansport, IN is seeking a Deli Associate to work independently on baking, frying, packaging and stocking deli products. You will ensure displays are well stocked, rotated and price-tagged, while assisting receiving and merchandise tasks to support store profitability.

The role requires basic reading/writing, math skills and attention to detail, with adherence to PPE, safety and guest experience guidelines in a typical retail setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills for handling price, math and packing tasks.
• Attention to detail to price, date, wrap and merchandize deli products.

Responsibilities

• Bake and fry according to production schedule (80% of time).
• Price, date, wrap and bag deli products; merchandise shelves and displays.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise; rotate stock.
• Notify Deli Manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety and guest experience guidelines.

Market Street - Logansport, Indiana 46947Position Summary:This role is responsible to work independently to bake, fry, package, display and stock deli products; to ensure that the shift contributes to the financial best interest of the store. Additionally, complete all other duties as assigned in a timely manner.Here’s what you’ll do:Baking and frying duties determined by production schedule - 80% of time.Price, date, wrap and/or bag deli products.Properly fill, rotate, inspect and merchandise deli shelves, cases and displays.Notify the Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking of merchandise.Have familiarity with all products carried in the department; know differences in price, taste, preparation, use etc.Handle spoiled/damaged products per established guidelines.Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department.Follow all PPE and Safety GuidelinesFollow all Food Safety and Cleaning ExpectationsFollow Guest Experience GuidelinesMay be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needAdditional responsibilities may be assigned as neededHere’s what you’ll need:High school diploma (preferred)One year of retail or related experience preferred.Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documentsBasic mathematical skillsDetail OrientedPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
