Job summary

SpartanNash in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Deli Associate to independently bake, fry, package and stock deli products per the production schedule. You will price, label, wrap and stock deli items, rotate stock, and maintain attractive displays while following PPE and safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (preferred), about 1 year of retail experience, and basic math skills. You must read and interpret documents and stand for long periods in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Bake, fry, package, display and stock deli products as scheduled.
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag deli products; rotate and merchandise deli shelves and displays.
• Notify the Deli Manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Assist with receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise.
• Maintain knowledge of products; understand price, taste, preparation and use.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
