ShopRite of Hadley Commons in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking an Appy/Deli Clerk to assist the Appy/Deli Manager in daily operations and maintain a clean, appealing department. You will deliver a great customer experience and help prepare, price, and display deli products.

The role requires English proficiency, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the willingness to work in varying temperatures. Vision and dental benefits may apply; attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Able to operate department equipment (slicer, scale, wrapping machine, etc).
• Able to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Able to work with products and be aware of allergies.
• Able to stand/walk for full shifts.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly way.
• Able to work cooperatively with others.
• Able to follow time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate slicing equipment and related tools.
• Replenish Appy/Deli products.
• Prepare product for sale and maintain department appearance.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, pricing, and restocking.
• Maintain safety and sanitation; report equipment issues.
• Keep inventory informed of low stock or spoilage.
• Display products attractively and maintain cleanliness.
• Ensure proper temperature control and equipment functionality.
• Complete department trainings and follow ShopRite priorities.
• Maintain punctual attendance and work overtime as needed.
