Job summary

Delfina Medical Group is seeking a contract doula to provide virtual health coaching for pregnant patients and new moms, supporting them through pregnancy and postpartum care. Duties include coordinating with the Care Delivery manager and leading 1:1 and group education sessions via telehealth.

Ideal candidates hold DONA/ICEA/CAPPA/ProDoula credentials, be licensed in Maryland or DC, and be registered with Maryland ePrep or DC Medicaid. English fluency required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Certified doula credentials required (DONA/ICEA/CAPPA/ProDoula).
• Maryland or DC doula license required.
• Medicaid registration in Maryland ePrep or DC Medicaid required.
• Excellent communication and conversational skills; telehealth experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Care Delivery manager to execute patient engagement and coaching protocols on a weekly basis.
• Ensure patient’s engagement and participation for both pregnant patients and new mothers.
• Ensure patients adhere to recommended care protocols and tracking as defined by the healthcare provider and/or organization.

Education

DONA (Birth, CD, or CBE), ICEA, CAPPA, or ProDoula certified

Licensed to practice as a doula in Maryland or DC

Objective: The Delfina Doula will act as a virtual health coach to support pregnant patients and new moms throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journey.

About You: Our ideal Doula is one that has experience in pregnancy, birth and postpartum. You are supportive about providing virtual support with both 1:1 and group education.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the Care Delivery manager to execute patient engagement and coaching protocols on a weekly basis

Compensation: $30-35 USD per hour

The compensation range for this contract position represents a wide variety of factors, including location, skills, experience, education, and training. Candidates who meet most of the qualifications above should expect to earn near the middle of the posted compensation range.
