Job summary

Blakehurst is seeking a Delegating Nurse for a part-time 20-hour-per-week schedule in Towson, MD. The role oversees resident care in the assisted living program, including service plan completion, medical record oversight, and staff delegation supervision.

Qualified candidates are RN-licensed in Maryland with CPR certification and experience in supervision. A Maryland approved Delegating Nurse for Assisted Living course is required. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is paid in installments.

Qualifications

• RN currently licensed by the State of Maryland.
• Current CPR certification.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Completion of a Maryland approved Delegating Nurse for Assisted Living course.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates completion of Service Plans for Assisted Living residents with the Assisted Living Manager.
• Observes each resident at least every 45 days.
• Assures accuracy and completeness of the medical record.
• Reviews the Assisted Living Manager’s assessment of residents.
• Coordinates and participates in family/resident service plan conferences.
• Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to medical record documentation.
• Assures appropriate delegation of nursing tasks.
• Serves as a staff nurse when staffing levels necessitate in order to meet the needs of the residents.
• Responds to emergency calls as necessary.
• Ensures notification of physician and family of changes in resident’s condition.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
• Participate in the monthly Quality Assurance meeting.
• Participates in the nurse manager weekend on call program.

Salary: $45.00-$50.00/hour (Based on Experience) ($2,500 sign-on bonus paid in installments)

Blakehurstis looking for an experienced, hospitality-focused Delegating Nursewho brings compassion, professionalism, and strong skills to work every day. The Delegating Nurse is responsible for the overall supervision and clinical oversight of resident care in the assisted living program including completion of required assessments and oversight of CMTs and other staff.
