Job summary

Permian Resources is seeking a Production Engineer to manage a production area in the Delaware Basin, reporting to the Lead Production Engineer in Midland, TX. The role emphasizes optimization of gas lift, ESP, and rod pump systems, as well as field collaboration with operations, reservoir, drilling, and facilities teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Production Engineering, a petroleum-related engineering degree, and strong skills in economics, data analysis, and Spotfire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Petroleum preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Production Engineering.
• Experience with horizontal wells in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with artificial lift, production, workover ops, and project economics.
• Proficient with PC programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Spotfire.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned production area within the Delaware Basin.
• Collaborate with field operations, reservoir, drilling, completions, and facilities teams.
• Coordinate with field ops to optimize base production and minimize downtime; weekly field presence.
• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot artificial lift systems (gas lift, ESP, rod pump, etc.).
• Manage and optimize chemical programs for scale, corrosion, H2S, etc.
