Dispatcher

Transdev in Dekalb, IL is hiring a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to clients. We seek customer service-oriented professionals dedicated to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee road service by tracking trip performance, ensuring routes start on time, and managing incidents
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding trips, no-shows, cancellations, and missed trips
• Manage emergency situations, liaising with emergency services
• Review route performance daily and proactively address issues impacting service
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED; technical degree preferred
• 3-5 years dispatching experience
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Flexible work schedule availability
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physicals, with adherence to DOT regulations

Physical Requirements:

• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Sit for extended periods; walk long distances; work on uneven surfaces
• Push/pull objects up to 25 lbs; lift up to 50 lbs; bend, kneel, crouch
• Navigate heavy traffic and tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, noise
