Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an undergrad intern for its Cyberspace Combat Department in El Segundo, CA. This paid internship runs full-time onsite, delivering hands-on experience in defensive cyber operations for space systems.

You'll work on capabilities for Space Vehicles, use Docker, Kubernetes, and AI tools, and perform vulnerability research and reverse engineering. A government clearance and US citizenship are required, with transcripts due at application.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university pursuing a related Bachelor's degree.
• Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks and return to studies afterward.
• Minimum GPA 3.0.
• Interest in reverse engineering and vulnerability research.
• Experience with Python, C, or Rust and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US government security clearance; US citizenship required.
• Transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop on-board defensive capabilities for Space Vehicles.
• Build prototype tools to improve cybersecurity posture of mission systems using containerization, cloud and AI.
• Conduct vulnerability research and reverse engineering on space-related software.
• Interact with customers, communicate progress, findings, and provide demonstrations.
