Murray Osorio PLLC is a fast-growing immigration law firm seeking a Defensive Attorney to join our Fairfax or Charlottesville, VA, or Silver Spring, MD offices. This full-time hybrid role requires on-site presence three days a week and offers a clear path to partnership.

You will manage your own caseload, collaborate with paralegals and attorneys, conduct research, advise clients on asylum and removal defense, and contribute to firm committees to strengthen client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active bar membership.
• 0-3 years of experience in immigration law.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in conducting thorough legal research using legal platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis of immigration law cases.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on immigration matters, including asylum, cancellation of removal, and general removal defense.
• Prepare and draft legal documents and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
• Provide effective guidance and support to clients throughout the immigration process.
• Lead and manage multiple case files with strong organizational skills.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance legal strategies and case outcomes.
• Stay updated on evolving immigration laws and policies to ensure compliance.

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate, motivated Defensive Attorney to join our thriving legal team inour Fairfax or Charlottesville, VA, or Silver Spring, Maryland, office. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Fairfax or Charlottesville, VA, or Silver Spring, Maryland, with the expectation of on -site presence three days a week.

As a valued member of our firm, you will

• Manage your own caseload while meeting case progression benchmarks.
• Collaborate closely with paralegals and fellow attorneys to ensure seamless case handling.
• Participate in firm committees under the guidance of firm partners, contributing to the firm's operations and success.
• Enjoy a hybrid work model, blending flexibility with opportunities to meet clients and attend in-office events.
