Defense Trade Solutions, LLC is seeking Defense Trade Specialists to support AECA/ITAR needs in a non-supervisory role reporting to the Solutions Delivery Team. The role emphasizes handling high-visibility defense trade work with minimal supervision and opportunities to contribute to critical national security objectives.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years of ITAR/FMS/TSFD experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to train audiences up to the C-suite.

Qualificações

• 2–5 years of defense trade experience with ITAR, FMS or TSFD required.
• Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR and AECA.
• Experience building international trade compliance programs for aerospace/defense.
• Ability to draft and manage ITAR export licenses and agreements.
• Experience with ITAR compliance audits and assessments.
• Ability to perform classifications and commodity jurisdiction analyses.
• Experience drafting enterprise-wide international trade compliance policies.
• Knowledge of FMS process from LOR to LOA.
• Knowledge of TSFD Release.
• Strong customer service and client management skills.
• Excellent communication to audiences from action officer to C-suite.
• Ability to build rapport with clients and U.S. Government.
• Ability to solve defense trade problems with supervision.
• Reliable teammate with strong written and verbal communication.
• Must hold a DoD Active Secret Security Clearance or higher.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

This is a non-supervisory position that will report to our Solutions Delivery Team, responsible for supporting the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) needs of our customers. This level at DTS works on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties with minimal supervision from senior staff.

What You Bring to DTS:

• 2-5 years of relevant work experience specific to defense trade - ITAR, FMS or TSFD experience required.
• Working knowledge of the ITAR, EAR, and AECA.
• Experience building international trade compliance programs for aerospace or defense companies (prior ITAR-Empowered Official preferred).
• Strong ability to draft and manage ITAR export licenses and agreements.
• Experience participating in and managing ITAR compliance audits and assessments.
• Ability to conduct self-classifications and commodity jurisdictions with technical rigor.
• Experience drafting and implementing enterprise-wide international trade compliance policies & procedures.
• Working knowledge of the Foreign Military Sales process from Letter of Request (LOR) to Letter of Offer & Acceptance (LOA).
• Working knowledge of Technology Security & Foreign Disclosure (TSFD) Release.
• Customer service and client management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and provide training to audiences at all levels (from action officer to C-Suite) in a defense industry enterprise.
• Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients and the U.S. Government with guidance.
• Ability to solve defense trade problems and provide service to our customers with supervision.
• A reliable resource for all teammates with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to hold and maintain a DoD Active Secret Security Clearance or higher is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Compensation:

• Specialist Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 commensurate with 2-5 years of experience.
• Bonus: Discretionary performance bonus of up to 20% of salary. The bonus is tied to the achievement of company goals as well as individual performance.
