Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Defense Solutions Architect to shape technical architectures across multiple defense opportunities, guiding capture teams and ensuring fast, compliant, and differentiated solutions for government programs.

You will translate mission needs into executable architectures in areas like AI/ML, networks, digital infrastructure, and software engineering, while collaborating across capture, pricing, and partner ecosystems to win contracts and support DoD missions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture or systems engineering
• Experience developing technical solutions and architectures in areas like digital infrastructure, AI/ML, networks, and software engineering
• Experience supporting defense capture, proposals, or technical solutioning in a government or government-contracting environment
• Experience authoring technical volumes, solution narratives, or written proposal artifacts
• Experience supporting DoD or IC clients, including Army, Navy, or Marine Corps missions
• Knowledge of the defense industry and the U.S. Government acquisition process
• Ability to collaborate across capture, pricing, partner, and account leadership to deliver integrated solutions under deadline
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or STEM field or 5+ years of military engineering experience in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

• Lead technical solution development and architecture visioning during capture, shaping, and pre-RFP phases
• Translate mission needs into actionable solution concepts and win themes across domains
• Produce and refine solution narratives, architecture diagrams, and supporting artifacts for bids
• Evaluate competitor approaches and price-to-win considerations to differentiate proposals
• Surge across pursuits and align with capture demand
• Collaborate with Capture Leads, Pricing, partners to shape BOEs and BOMs
• Contribute to proposal development including technical volumes and oral presentations
• Apply knowledge of defense acquisition pathways to align solutions with contracting approaches
• Stay current on defense tech trends and inject COTS capabilities into proposals
