Job summary

Applied Physical Sciences Corp (APS) in Arlington, VA seeks an Engineer with a BS or MS in a related field to design, develop, and deploy software across programs. Qualifications

• BS or MS in computer science, engineering, applied math/physics, or a related field.
• Fluency in C++, Rust, Python, or other modern programming languages.
• Experience developing on Linux platforms and with modern software engineering tooling (Git, CI pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Unity).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of communication and networking software and own small components.
• Implement command-and-control interfaces, simulations, and data visualizations with minimal supervision.
• Design and optimize algorithms for signal processing, autonomy, or embedded systems on small subsystems.
• Integrate software into larger distributed or real-time systems and validate performance.
• Collaborate with project teams to refine requirements and deliver high-quality results.
