Job summary

Graham Manufacturing is seeking a Project Engineer - Defense, New Product to lead the development of vacuum and heat exchanger equipment for submarines and surface ships. You will own the project from concept through manufacture and interface with customers to address specifications.

The role requires 3+ years of mechanical/chemical engineering experience, strong writing and mathematical skills, and proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and related analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in engineering roles.
• Strong technical writing and mathematical analysis skills.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and ability to create/interprete drawings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities to develop new vacuum and heat exchanger equipment from concept through manufacture.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, vendors/suppliers, and other stakeholders to define technical scope.
• Support cross-functional coordination to ensure objectives and requirements are communicated and executed.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders throughout development.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, procedures, specifications, and work instructions.
• Provide timely technical communication regarding activities and results.
• Notify personnel when timelines cannot be met and propose alternatives.
