Job summary

Quantum Sky is seeking a Network Specialist to support the NE&S contract at Mountain Home AFB, ID. You will ensure DHA LAN/WAN services, troubleshoot on-site, and maintain the network infrastructure across the medical campus.

The role requires DoD clearance, OSI model expertise, and strong communication skills. Compensation reflects DoD and industry standards, with a salary range of $80,000–$85,000 per year and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Deep knowledge of OSI layers 1–3 and TCP/IP.
Experience with switches/routers and LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
Familiar with firewall and VPN technologies.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years’ related experience, or certification with 8 years.
DoD 8570.01 information assurance requirements compliance.
Security+ CE certification required.
CCNA or Juniper/Brocade experience desirable.

Responsibilities

Provides daily operational support for LAN core/edge switches across the medical network campus.
Resolves network issues across OSI model using diagnostic tools.
Supports routing, switching, firewalls, and cabling infrastructure.
Plans, installs, and supports hardware/software upgrades and resolves related issues.
