Job summary

KBR is seeking a Modernization Project Engineer (Contingency) for TACOM-related work in a contingent role. You will plan, coordinate, and execute engineering activities for system upgrades, ensuring designs are properly implemented, integrated, and aligned with cost, schedule, and performance goals.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4–7 years of relevant experience, with the potential for travel to depots and field sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering and 4–7 years of experience in engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate engineering efforts for system modernization and upgrades.
• Analyze systems and recommend modernization improvements.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Ensure activities meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and program leadership.
• Support testing, validation, and verification of upgrades.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Army manuals and quality requirements.
• Prepare reports, briefings, and status updates for stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews and technical evaluations.
