Job summary

Lumbee Holdings is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer at Camp Pendleton, CA. The role involves modeling, simulation, and analysis to assess performance in engagement and mission-level scenarios. Knowledge of NGTS, BOSS, MLST3, WASP, ExCIS, and DIS/HLA is preferred.

This exempt position may be full-time or part-time, with standard hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime is not expected. Requires C++ proficiency and Windows/Linux administration, plus a Secret clearance. Travel ~10–15% CONUS.

Qualifications

• Basic and advanced C++ programming language proficiency.
• Experience with Windows and Linux based systems administration.

Responsibilities

• Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks assessing operational relevance, system survivability, system effectiveness, and overall system performance in engagement and mission-level scenarios.
• Develop performance models and algorithms, threat models, and command and control models for new and existing system simulation frameworks.
• Administer, operate, and maintain the suite of commercial and military modeling and simulation systems, to include the BOSS, MLST3, WASP, ExCIS, and NGTS.
• Implement ports, protocols, and policies (DIS/HLA) and connections to the Navy C4I environment.
• Automate war scenario execution for events (MLR, JADC2, Project Convergence, Project Overmatch) using BOSS, MLST3, WASP, ExCIS, NGTS.
• Develop NGTS model Plug-Ins and I/O Plug-Ins using NGTS SDK.
• Configure and administer Windows and Linux servers per ATO and program directives.
• Plan, install, and troubleshoot LANs/WANs/virtual networks across OSI layers.
