Job summary

Oshkosh Defense, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Marketing intern to support day-to-day communications across high-visibility projects. You will write, edit, and distribute content for external and internal audiences, and assist with social media campaigns and digital content management.

Based in Oshkosh, WI, the internship offers hands-on experience in events, brand management, and cross‑functional collaboration, with a Spring/Summer 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or related field throughout the entire duration of the internship.
• Willing to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for the Summer of 2027 (relocation assistance provided for those with a permanent address of greater than 50 miles from Oshkosh, WI).
• Graduation date of December 2027 or later.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and distribute press releases, blogs, internal newsletters, and other communications materials for external and internal audiences.
• Develop social media content and support digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
• Support execution of trade shows, events, and customer engagements—including coordination, messaging, and materials preparation.
• Manage website content updates using WordPress and maintain brand consistency across digital properties.
• Monitor and track media coverage, build media lists, and distribute materials to targeted outlets.
• Support internal communications initiatives including employee announcements, newsletters, and intranet content.
