Job summary

CIRCOR International, Inc. is seeking a dedicated machinist to finish grind rotor threads, drill holes, and deburr parts in a hands-on production setting. You will inspect rotors using micrometers, dial calipers, and profilometers, ensuring adherence to tight tolerances and specifications.

The role involves lifting and moving components, operating multiple machines, and following assembly drawings. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and 1–3 years machining experience.

Job description

BASIC FUNCTION

• Finish grind threads on all rotors to size, index, form, and finish as required.
• Drill axial hole, cutoff, and counterbore as need.
• Grind end faces on idlers.

STATUS AND SCOPE

• With own judgement and minimal direction from others, produce a quality ground rotor in a safe and efficient manner.
• Grind threads on all rotors-inspect sizes, index, form, lead, finish, etc.
• Deburr all sharp edges as needed.
• Check pump parts for burrs and fits.
• Assemble per assembly drawing.
• Test per specifications.

EQUIPMENT AND TYPICAL PARTS

• Operate one, two or more machines including NCTG, CFG, Cutoff, test stands, DHD, etc.
• Use precision measuring equipment, such as micrometer, dial caliper, profilometers, lead checker, gash gauges, master, etc. to inspect rotors.
• Operate electric or air-powered crane/forklift.

Essential Physical Tasks

• Lift/pull/push. Continuously walk or move from one machine to as many as five. Physically, load and unload parts up to 40 pounds.
• Deburr utilizing file or other hand tool such as die grinder.
• Clean parts and centers of chips and wipe dry.
• Physically, lift and check all dimensions machined to conform with finish drawing.
• Adjust machine as needed to produce quality parts within specifications and standards given per pc.
• Utilize multi-function electric or air-crane (where available) to lift/move/load/unload parts to perform work center function.
• Step-up to and down from elevated work platform and on to various parts of machine for wheel change, tool change, and cleaning.

Candidate Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Machining Trade School preferred and one to three years machining experience preferred.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Use of advanced trade mathematics, reading complicated drawings, specifications, charts, etc. preferred
