Job summary

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP seeks a mid-level associate (3+ years) to join its Florida team, focusing on general litigation and premises liability. Location: Florida (Miami preferred).

Candidates will represent clients in state and federal courts, manage cases end-to-end, draft pleadings, conduct depositions, and participate in mediations. A JD from an accredited law school and Florida Bar admission are required.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar and in good standing.
  • 3+ years of experience in general litigation and tort defense.
  • Experience handling matters in Florida, and/or federal courts.
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and client service orientation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. We value work-life balance and offer hybrid work arrangements, allowing you to work from both the office and remotely.

  • Develop litigation strategies and provide legal analysis on complex matters.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient case management and high-quality client service.
