IPG Defense in Huntsville, AL is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to develop device-interface and systems-integration software that connects IPG’s directed-energy platforms to radars, sensors, cameras, and C2 systems. Work from ICDs, write robust C#/Qt code, and prototype with embedded hardware in lab and field environments.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• 3–7 years software development experience (entry to senior levels considered).
• Proficiency in C# and/or C++ with Qt.
• Experience with TCP/IP, UDP, RS-232 communications between devices.
• Hands-on with robotics or embedded platforms (Arduino/Raspberry Pi).
• Strong written and verbal communication for cross-disciplinary work.

Responsabilidades

• Implement software interfaces from ICDs in C# and C++/Qt, connecting devices to IPG platforms.
• Develop and debug communication links over TCP/IP, UDP, RS-232 and similar protocols.
• Integrate external devices (radars, sensors, cameras, C2 systems) per ICD requirements.
• Build test harnesses, device simulators, and data-logging tools for interface validation.
• Prototype rapidly using Arduino or Raspberry Pi for fixtures and emulators.
• Support lab integration and field testing; troubleshoot cross-boundary timing issues.
• Document interfaces and procedures and maintain configuration control.
