Job summary

NODA AI, Inc. is seeking a Hardware Integration Engineer for Recon Works in Washington, DC. You will turn concepts into working hardware, designing prototype parts, and integrating subsystems onto unmanned platforms while testing in lab and field environments.

The role is hands-on, requiring bench and field work, with collaboration across the Recon Works team to ensure robust hardware and de-risked prototypes ready for product handoff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• 3+ years of hands-on hardware development, integration, or test experience.
• Proficiency in a parametric CAD tool and rapid fabrication design.
• Hands-on electromechanical integration experience, including wiring harnesses, connectors, and power distribution.
• Experience writing test plans, running hardware tests, and turning test data into design changes.
• Comfort with shop tools and outdoor field testing.
• US citizenship required due to ITAR and ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run bench, lab, and field tests of prototype systems: write test plans, instrument hardware, collect and analyze data, and turn results into design changes.
• Integrate subsystems from multiple sources onto air, sea, and land platforms, including wiring harnesses, connectors, and power distribution.
• Design prototype parts and assemblies in CAD for rapid fabrication by 3D printing, machining, or sheet metal.
• Document designs, interfaces, and test results so de-risked prototypes can hand off to product and engineering teams.
