Job summary

Nammo Defense Systems, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintenance; assists in complex performance and repair of plant facilities and equipment.

This role offers a four-day work week (4x10), competitive compensation, benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO; candidate must have 2–4 years of related experience, HS diploma/GED, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and pass BATF access checks.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of related experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to obtain BATF access approval for all Plant locations.
• Driving background checks required; detail-oriented with high accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write reports and communicate effectively.
• Proficient in calculations of proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
• Ability to follow written, oral or diagrammed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Orders and stocks building supplies, materials and parts as required.
• Plans and schedules corrective action and preventative maintenance.
• Oversees vendors and contractors to ensure work is performed correctly and completed on time.
• Gathers information to provide cost estimates, designs, scope-of-work, timing and funding for improvements.
• Evaluates contract proposals.
• Assists in developing annual departmental budgets for projects.
• Estimates materials and labor for proposed projects.
• Maintains accurate records in CMMS.
• May respond to 24-hour emergency calls for building and equipment repairs.
• Performs basic carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, painting, or related work.
• Uses power tools as directed.
• Reads building blueprints as needed.
• Troubleshoots equipment and reports to lead or supervisor.
• Opens clogged drains and toilets with plumbers’ tools.
• Repairs counters, benches, cabinets, partitions, and other wood structures.
• Installs glass in windows, doors and partitions.
• Replaces damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings.
• Installs window coverings, rods, and door locks.
• Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Assists with test grounding and lighting arrest systems in production areas.
• Performs routine vehicle/machinery maintenance.
• Other duties as required.
