Job summary

CNA Corporation is seeking a Research Scientist in Arlington, Virginia to join the Data Science for Defense Production Systems Program. You will lead analytic projects, develop client-focused insights, and collaborate with Navy sponsors to inform force design decisions.

Ideal candidates possess a Master’s degree (PhD preferred) and 5+ years of research experience, with strong skills in R/Python, visualization, and modeling.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field; PhD preferred.
• 5+ years of research and analysis experience.
• Experience with R or Python.
• Experience with interactive visualizations and GUIs.
• Ability to lead portions of large or medium projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium analytic projects under supervision.
• Develop institutional knowledge to support clients and mentoring.
• Interact with sponsors and teams to secure follow-on work.
• Prepare executive summaries and briefings for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to proposals.
