Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. seeks a data scientist to analyze complex data sets and develop analytic tools for funding, financial planning, and program management within defense manufacturing and submarine programs.

Based at SPA HQ in Alexandria, VA with some travel to client sites. Requires STEM or business degree, Python and PowerBI DAX skills, and ability to work in a cross-functional team under a Secret DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or business field.
• 2+ years experience analyzing complex data sets and developing analytic tools or software.
• Proficiency with Python and PowerBI DAX to solve problems in engineering or project management.
• DoD security clearance - Secret or higher.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex data sets and develop analytic tools for use in funding, financial plans, and defense manufacturing.
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, developers, managers and stakeholders to provide recommendations.
• Support naval submarine programs and related defense acquisition activities.
