Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a data scientist to join the ASIG team in the Sea, Land, Air Division.

Based at SPA HQ in Alexandria, VA, you will analyze complex data sets and build analytic tools to support funding, planning, and scheduling for defense manufacturing programs. You'll collaborate with engineers, developers, managers and stakeholders, travel locally to client sites in West Bethesda and DC, and operate with a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or business field.
• 1–2+ years of experience analyzing complex data sets, developing analytic tools or software, using Python and PowerBI DAX.
• Ability to coordinate, communicate, and act independently within a dynamic team environment.
• Current DoD security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex data sets and develop analytic tools for use in funding, planning, management and execution of financial plans.
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, developers, managers and stakeholders to provide recommendations.
• Support the manufacturing lifecycle and project management for defense programs.
