Job summary

Paragon Cyber Solutions is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Engineer II to help implement and enhance enterprise cybersecurity controls across our defense program. The role supports security operations, threat detection, vulnerability management, and compliance while collaborating with senior security engineers.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Responsible for maintaining secure configurations, supporting RMF documentation, and contributing to risk assessments and incident

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Experience supporting security operations and implementing controls.
• Familiarity with RMF for DoD info systems and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls across enterprise environments.
• Support SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and firewall technologies.
• Participate in vulnerability management and remediation initiatives.
• Conduct security monitoring, analysis, and incident response support.
• Assist with threat modeling and risk assessments.
• Maintain secure configurations and baselines.
• Support compliance with NIST, CIS, and policies.
• Investigate alerts and assist with threat hunting.
• Create technical documentation and procedures.
