Job summary

Paragon Cyber Solutions in Indiana is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer II to join our defense program and strengthen enterprise cybersecurity controls. You will support security operations, threat detection, vulnerability management, and RMF documentation with guidance from senior engineers.

The role requires 2–4 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Experience supporting security operations and implementing security controls.
• Experience supporting RMF for DoD information systems.
• Experience developing/updating RMF/security documentation (SSP, RAR, SAP, SAR, POA&M, IRP, CP, SOPs, CMPs).
• Working knowledge of FISMA, FIPS, NIST, DoDI 8510.01/8500.01 guidance.
• Familiarity with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and firewall platforms.
• Understanding of threat modeling, vulnerability management, secure baselines.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and security compliance frameworks.

Paragon Cyber Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and mission-driven Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in support of a critical defense program.

The Cybersecurity Engineer II supports the implementation, monitoring, and enhancement of enterprise cybersecurity controls. This role contributes to security operations, threat detection, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives while working alongside senior security engineers and operations teams.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 to 4 years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Experience supporting security operations and implementing security controls.
• Experience supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD information systems.
• Experience developing or updating RMF/security authorization documentation such as SSP, RAR, SAP, SAR, POA&M, IRP, CP, SOPs, and CMPs.
• Working knowledge of FISMA, FIPS, NIST, DoDI 8510.01, DoDI 8500.01, and related cybersecurity guidance.

Familiarity with:

• SIEM platforms

Understanding of:
