Job summary

Precise Systems, Inc. seeks a Bioinformatician to analyze multi-omics MS data, develop pipelines, and apply ML approaches for defense-focused projects. You will work on datasets from high-resolution MS platforms and contribute to novel analytical methods under senior guidance.

The role requires in-person support in the Maryland area, with collaboration across interdisciplinary teams and partners, and a strong emphasis on data visualization and interpretation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 3 years in a computational research lab or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years in a computational research lab environment.
• Ph.D. preferred with 1 year experience in lab/computational setting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mass spectrometry data across proteomic, metabolomic, lipidomic and related studies.
• Develop and run data analysis pipelines for targeted and untargeted data.
• Incorporate QC and normalization strategies for MS data.
• Apply statistics and provide interpretation via pathway analyses and visualization.
• Build workflows using Python, R, Bash; leverage HPC environments.
• Collaborate with academic and industry partners to refine methods.
• Develop new analysis methods and user-friendly dashboards.
• Present research results and maintain documentation.
