TheCorporate LLC in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Defense Attorney to join its boutique-sized team. You will work directly with partners on sophisticated matters from day one, with a clear path to partnership.

This role offers a highly flexible hybrid schedule, a comprehensive benefits package, and direct access to clients. Responsibilities include representing employers in disputes and handling wage-hour, termination, discrimination, and related claims.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of attorney experience.
• Labor & Employment litigation experience required.
• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in Labor & Employment disputes and litigation.
• Handle wrongful termination, wage & hour, retaliation, discrimination, harassment, PAGA, FEHA, and related claims.
• Manage employment litigation from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in court appearances and settlements.
• Collaborate with partners and clients and own sophisticated matters.

Labor & Employment Defense Attorney

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA | Hybrid

Experience: 4--10 Years

A well-established boutique-sized, multi-practice law firm in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Defense Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to work on sophisticated matters from day one , take on meaningful responsibility, and have a clear path to partnership.

Because of the firm's boutique size, attorneys work closely with partners and clients and are involved throughout the life cycle of each matter. The firm offers a highly flexible hybrid schedule, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative environment focused on long-term professional growth.

While the position will primarily focus on Labor & Employment defense, attorneys who are interested can also gain exposure to the firm's business litigation and real estate litigation practices.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a broad range of Labor & Employment disputes and litigation
• Handle matters involving wrongful termination, wage & hour claims, retaliation, discrimination, harassment, PAGA, FEHA, and other employment-related claims
• Manage employment litigation from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Participate in court appearances, mediations, settlement negotiations, and other aspects of case strategy
• Work directly with partners and clients while taking meaningful ownership of sophisticated matters
• Assist with business and real estate litigation matters based on interest and firm needs

Qualifications

• 4--10 years of attorney experience
• Prior Labor & Employment litigation experience is required
• Experience handling matters involving wrongful termination, wage & hour, retaliation, PAGA, FEHA, discrimination, harassment, and related employment claims
• Employer-side Labor & Employment defense experience strongly preferred
• Strong litigation, legal research, and writing skills
• Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating closely with partners and other attorneys
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $200,000--$275,000, depending on experience
• Bonus potential up to $85,000
