Job summary

Amentum is seeking Systems Engineers to join our UK-based team with a flexible, largely remote workload and site visits as needed. You will contribute across MoD programmes, nuclear, and decommissioning projects, providing engineering expertise and governance throughout the SE life cycle.

You will work within a collaborative project team, applying SE processes, and delivering artefacts and interface management while developing your career in a growing practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM is required.
• Experience in Systems Engineering within a complex, safety-focused, regulated environment (ideally UK MoD or similar).
• Holistic approach to Systems Engineering and related activities is essential.
• Delivery focus with enthusiasm to make a positive difference.
• Demonstrated ability to manage change and adapt to evolving requirements and uncertainty.

Responsibilities

• Steer Systems Engineering principles through stakeholder approvals.
• Provide SME guidance on SE processes to project teams.
• Capture, validate and manage project requirements and V&V strategy.
• Ensure consistency in user, system, design and safety requirements capture.
• Provide SME advice and manage interfaces of systems.
• Plan and develop SE artefacts (ConOps, RAMS, URDs, SRDs, VVRMs, ITEAPs).
• Prepare presentations and represent SE in stakeholder meetings
