Job description

Responsible for building a complete document package with all appropriate/supporting documents based on a specific claim type, ensuring timely and efficient submission. This role involves adhering to guidelines set by insurers, investors, and master servicers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate and reconcile loan-level balances, including corporate and escrow advances, to maximize reimbursement.
2. File initial and final claims with investors and insurers according to their guidelines.
3. Review MI claim Explanation of Benefits (EOB) or Insurer Advice of Payments (AOP) and research curtailment reasons for potential rebuttal.
4. File appeals or supplemental claims to recover advances and interest from MI companies or insurers.
5. Monitor pre/post conveyance processes on government loans.
6. Satisfy audit requests and monitor claim deadlines and exceptions reports.
7. Oversee REO activity on investor claim files and ensure receivables are paid without penalties or interest curtailments.
8. Coordinate with attorneys, trustees, vendors, and agency representatives to ensure claims are processed within guidelines.
9. Work with attorneys, agencies, PMI companies, investors, and master servicers to expedite claim completion and minimize losses.
10. Maintain knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, PMI, FHA, VA, investor, and master servicer rules and regulations.
11. Regularly review all cases and claims.
12. Request UPB removal from the Investor Reporting Department after claim completion.
13. Assist in training new employees and perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in claims analysis, mortgage default, MSP, loss mitigation, and default servicing.
• Proficiency in Excel, including Vlookup and Pivot Tables.
• Knowledge of Black Knight MSP servicing system and MS Office suite.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent time management and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range is $26.00 - $38.00/hr. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, EAP, PTO, and more, depending on eligibility and employment status.
