Job summary

GLP Transit seeks a CDL driver to ensure proper and efficient operation of their vehicle and duties. You will perform safety inspections, load/unload DEF trucks, and complete required paperwork in full compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include using loading arms, card readers, and pumps; maintaining vehicle cleanliness; and reporting issues to the Fleet Manager. Candidates should have Hazmat/Tanker endorsements and a valid CDL with clean MVR.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A or Class B CDL with clean MVR.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• TWIC card required.
• Prior fuel truck driver experience preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT drug screen.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.
• Subject to quarterly random drug screens.

• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and replaces gaskets, nozzles, and related articles as necessary.

• Maintains daily check of oil, water, fuel, tires, and tank-related items.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to Fleet Manager.
• Completes and transmits paperwork per Company procedures.
• Knowledge of loading arms and card readers, use of pumps for loading/unloading, spill kits and extinguishers.

Description

This position is responsible for the proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of their vehicle.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads DEF trucks adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.


• Safely operates trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws.


• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and replaces gaskets, nozzles, and other related articles as necessary.


• Performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment, and/or facilities as required by Company policy.


• Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, fuel, tires, and tank-related items daily.


• Reports any equipment malfunctions and/or concerns to Fleet Manager.


• Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.


• Knowledge of and the ability to use loading arms and card readers at rack facilities, use auxiliary pumps for loading and unloading vehicles, and use spill kits and fire extinguishers.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Class A or Class B CDL with clean MVR.
