We are seeking an experienced Deepwater Completions Operations Supervisor to oversee safe, efficient well delivery operations across deepwater assets. In this critical operational role, you will bridge the gap between engineering design and field execution - operationalizing detailed completion programs, managing multi-disciplinary contractor interfaces, and driving rigorous QA/QC from onshore tool shops through offshore installation.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge of completion tool systems, hands-on experience leading Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and tool loadouts, and the operational presence required to maintain world-class HSSE, schedule, and cost performance.
Program Execution & Readiness: Review and operationalize engineering completion programs, ensuring technical designs translate into safe, flawless, execution-ready field procedures. Validate execution drawings and operational work plans prior to mobilization.
Supplier & Tool Shop QA/QC: Lead technical audits, shop visits, tool make-up verification, and Systems Integration Tests (SITs) at vendor and service-company facilities to ensure complete equipment and service readiness.
Offshore Leadership: Supervise offshore completion operations, enforcing operational safety, execution efficiency, and strict adherence to well control and engineering parameters.
Vendor & Service Management: Interface directly with completion service providers and equipment vendors; challenge readiness gaps constructively and hold suppliers accountable for equipment integrity, crew competency, and schedule adherence.
Continuous Improvement & RCFA: Lead or support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for operational non-conformances, working alongside engineering and commercial teams to eliminate downtime and standardize operational best practices.
Onshore Operational Planning: During non-active operational phases, manage planning workflows, integrate multi-disciplinary inputs, coordinate upcoming tool packages, and prepare logistical staging for upcoming execution wells.
Experience: Demonstrated field leadership experience preparing for, executing, or supervising deepwater completions operations.
Vendor/Tool Shop Background: Proven hands-on background with completion equipment preparation, tool make-up, testing, SITs, tool loadouts, and wellsite execution.
Risk & Performance Management: Proven track record identifying operational hazards, challenging service providers constructively, and mitigating risks prior to offshore mobilization.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or related Engineering preferred; equivalent combination of substantial deepwater completion supervisor experience will be considered
Active or obtainable Well Control Certification (IWCF / IADC Level 4 Wellsite Supervisor).
Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) or immediate eligibility to acquire.
Current Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) with EBS/BOSIET or offshore survival certifications (or ability to acquire).
Strong preference for candidates based in the Houston, TX or New Orleans, LA areas to support frequent supplier visits, shop audits, and regional office planning sessions. Must be fully willing and physically qualified to travel offshore as operational scopes dictate.
