Job summary

Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City, LA is seeking a Floor Tech to maintain offices, hallways, and public spaces. You will clean floors, move furniture, and safely handle cleaning chemicals in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other spaces.
• Moving furniture before and after cleaning.
• Performing tasks like dusting, mopping, stripping, and waxing floors.
• Measuring and correctly using cleaning chemicals.
• Operating chemical dispensing units.
• Properly label chemicals.
• Maintaining and storing equipment and PPE.
• Keeping an inventory of floor areas and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Reporting maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Assisting with hazardous waste collection as requested.
• Floor maintenance experience is required.
• Meeting with clients to discuss their cleaning needs.
• Assessing the state of the floors and carpets that need to be cleaned.
• Applying stain and pre-cleaning treatments to the carpets and floors.
• Carefully removing furniture to access all areas that need to be cleaned.
• Cleaning carpets and floors using machine and hand-washing techniques.
• Drying carpets using drying machines.
• Resetting the furniture.

• The skills necessary for this position are typically acquired through at least two months’ on-the-job training or related experience.
