Job summary

Under supervision, the aide supports a lead teacher, assists with academics, behavioral support, and classroom maintenance. Requires a HS diploma and 48 college hours; keeps records and assists with materials and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and a minimum of 48 hours of college-level coursework is required (GPA 2.0).
• Non-Exempt, 10-month term; reports to Principal or lead teacher.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with instruction and evaluation of effectiveness.
• Monitor student safety and encourage independence.
• Support classroom routines and maintain orderly environment.
• Provide one-on-one help and small group activities as needed.
• Perform clerical duties and maintain student records.
