Overview
We are seeking a Dedicated Store Visual Merchandiser to join our team at our new Brandon, FL House of Sport store.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Promote visual merchandising excellence in the assigned store by understanding brand strategies, maintaining gameplan integrity, and creating thoughtful merchandising displays.
- Address merchandising opportunities based on store architecture, inventory, selldown, and unique floorplans. Make adjustments to maintain strategies and create inspiring presentations.
- Support the store team during major gameplan sets by understanding merchandising strategies and ensuring game plan integrity. Collaborate with the team on new merchandising opportunities as products arrive. Re-merchandise products to maximize sales, reacting to trends, weather, and inventory levels.
- Maintain and present visual displays compellingly and in accordance with company directives. Oversee daily standards for mannequins, forms, displays, and strikepoints. Focus on head-to-toe merchandising, outfitting, accessorizing, and promoting trends to build the basket. Demonstrate a strong understanding of current trends and styles reflected through merchandising. Utilize best practices to maximize space and inventory variability.
- Partner with the Field Visual Merchandiser and provide feedback on store, merchandising, in-store displays, product, and inventory best practices.
- Conduct weekly store tours with the Store Manager and ASM Apparel, focusing on visual priorities. Participate in conference calls with the Field Visual Merchandiser regarding visual priorities and initiatives.
- Evaluate store KPIs and make commercial decisions and recommendations based on sound financial judgment to drive sales, margin, and inventory turns.
- Engage in behaviors aligned with the company's customer service standards to provide all athletes with an outstanding store experience.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Business Management, Retail Management, or Visual Merchandising.
- 1-3 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, preferably in softlines.
- Understanding of customer and retail merchandising strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills based on analytics.
- Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Strong conflict management and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of customer service principles.
