A leading healthcare provider in San Francisco is seeking a Dedicated Specialty Sonographer to produce ultrasonic recordings for diagnostic purposes. The role involves patient interaction, technical equipment operation, and ensuring optimal quality in imaging services. Under the direction of the Imaging Services and/or Specialty clinic (in which ultrasound is provided) Director, Manager, and Chief of Radiology/ Imaging Services, or other Clinical Service Director where applicable, the sonographer produces two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for diagnostic purposes. Performs technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care, utilizing efficient and safe processes. A Dedicated Specialty Sonographer is defined as a Sonographer II, registered in one or two disciplines performed by the lab, with a work assignment limited to ultrasound exams and procedures in one or two registry disciplines as defined by ARDMS or CCI.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

High School Diploma/GED required.
The candidate must have at least two of the following certifications:
Applicants may be hired without certification but must obtain it within 90 days of hire. NT certification is required for genetic screening in Prenatal Diagnostic Centers. ARDMS cardiac registries are recognized for advancement in dedicated cardiac labs. The ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography registry is recognized for advancement in dedicated obstetrical labs.
