Job summary

Oceanside Unified School District's Transportation Department is seeking qualified staff to support safe student transport for those in special education programs. This 30 hour/week, 10 month position offers rewarding work assisting students during bus travel and ensuring their well-being.

Under supervision, you will monitor student behavior, follow safety procedures, and communicate effectively with caregivers and school staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related experience with children with special education needs is desirable.
• Possession of valid First Aid Certificate and CPR training is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of child guidance and motivational principles ad practices related to children receiving special education services.
• Health and safety regulations and ability to follow procedures.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Basic record-keeping techniques.

• Assist in providing safe transportation for students receiving special education services.
