Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking an OTR Driver to operate tractor/trailer equipment in accordance with DOT regulations, transporting products from Distribution Centers to Vendor destinations. The role emphasizes safety, timely deliveries, and compliance with FMCSA requirements.

Applicants must have a valid Class A CDL, a minimum of 2 years’ tractor trailer experience, and clean driving records. Travel is substantial, with a focus on safe operation and accurate documentation of trips and logs.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer or straight truck in accordance with DOT regulations to transport product safely from Distribution Centers to destination.
• Deliver product in a timely manner.
• Monitor freight for secure devices and straps to prevent damage.
• Follow company policy and trainings; keep truck clean.
• Maintain driver’s daily logs, trip reports and other documents.
• Perform full pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report damaged product to Transportation Supervisor/Manager.
• Communicate delivery issues to Transportation Supervisor/Manager.
• Keep equipment fueled and in good condition; maintain tools and equipment.
• Maintain professional conduct on the road; conform to DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

About the Position

The OTR Driver operates tractor/trailer or straight truck equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers, and their Vendor’s to their destination.

Functions

• Operates tractor/trailer or straight truck equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers to the Vendor’s destination.
• Operates the tractor/trailer to ensure that the product is delivered in a timely manner.
• Monitors freight for secure devices and straps to ensure products are delivered to their destination undamaged and in their original condition.
• Required to follow company policy, participate in required trainings and keep truck clean.
• Maintains driver’s daily logs, trip reports and other documents as required.
• Responsible for performing a full pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailer.
• Immediately reports all instances of damaged product to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager
• Communicates any delivery issues up line to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager
• Keeps equipment fueled, tidy, and in compliance with inspection requirements.
• Accountable for all assigned tools and equipment.
• Maintain professional conduct and attitude towards other motorists who share the highway.
• Conform to all DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Perform any other reasonable request as directed by management.

Qualifications

The approximate pay range for this job is:

$27.98 - $41.91
